We are pleased to finally unveil our blog, and our new brand of JD Entertainment Sports!
I have worked for JD Entertainment since 2002, and we have had great success re-defining Wedding Video in Michigan. It is great to also branch out into one of my biggest passions, Sports! I have all kinds of sports background, having been raised up around sport-lovers my whole life (my mom throwing her shoes at the Red Wings is one of my childhood memories!) I also have worked a great deal in the realm of sports videos, having worked for PBS for several years as a producer on Central Michigan's Football Review, several on-camera interviews with players and coaches, and producing highlight reels and playback footage for the campus station. After college, I produced a documentary on a Senior Citizen Hockey Team, as they competed in the Senior Olympics in Lake Placid, NY, also winning a NATOA & Telly Award for this production. We shot over 40 hours with the team and 90 year old hockey player, Mr. B, and the inspiration I received from these senior athletes really planted the seed in me that I wanted to pursue a career in sports video.
Having worked at JD Entertainment, we have done several sports-related productions over the years, from team highlight videos, to personal recruitment videos, to promotional videos. The success of these videos and the demand for more has finally resulted in this new venture, JD Entertainment Sports, a division of JD Entertainment focusing primarily on the production of Sports-related Video. Learning at a youn
g age from my 3 sisters, I also value the hard-work and dedication that went in to Dance Recitals & Competitions. Therefore, we have also perfected our approach to producing Dance Video. All of this is covered by JD Entertainment Sports.
For those that know me, you know that I am a very focused, hard-working guy who tries to be the best at what I do. I plan to take that determination and apply it to every video I am involved with in JD Entertainment Sports Video. We are a new company in this realm, but I am excited that this "fresh" approach will soon catch on the hottest, best Sport video not only in Michigan, but in the country! This may be a lofty goal, and we may not be there yet, but with each project I plan to bring the same high standard of excellence and creativity to, to achieve this goal.
